When I first received my contract from Bev Swanson and The Oakland Raiders in 1974, I noticed that the letterhead said PRIDE & POISE along with a phrase stating that the Raiders were AMERICA’S DYNAMIC TEAM. I will always remember PRIDE & POISE – the others were secondary to this infamous phrase. It was a wonderful experience to be an Oakland Raider, even if only in Preseason at Santa Rosa. I have a team camp photo along with photos of the great George Blanda, Oakland Raider Day 1974, and a photo of Coach Madden and others.
